There have been several queries regarding road pavement cuts made by Spectrum during the installation project. After the initial cut, most of the cuts are filled temporarily with dirt to allow some compaction. Some have been filled with cold asphalt.
Spectrum advises that at the end of the project, a contractor will tour the streets and repair pavement cuts with a pavement mix.
Some residential driveways do not extend all the way to the street pavement. There are strips of compacted soil and/or gravel between the end of the concrete driveway and the edge of the street. Cable trenches are usually dug in this area at the driveway edge. Spectrum advises that when the areas are made up of soil, they replace the soil. They do not lay pavement in areas where pavement did not previously exist.
There recently was a complaint of Spectrum failing to repave areas in front of specific driveways. Upon examination of photos taken prior to construction, it was been found that there was no pavement there prior to construction.
