It has to be Time Warner because they are already here. They have cable all the way into Deer Ridge Road. Anyone else would have to bring cable all the way from Dripping Springs or Wimberley.
And Time Warner is doing an estimate on our area right now!
Why Do We Need It?
- Cheap, Fast, Reliable Internet: High speed internet means residents in Woodcreek can use the many internet services now available such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV and many others – and can get the picture in good definition! Also having a proper high speed internet connection via cable means the internet stays up no matter how bad the weather is. It will also allow phone service and reliable connections for your home security service. All for less money than you are currently paying
- Help Our Home Prices. Woodcreek North is being left behind. When people buy a home in a subdivision they expect to be able to get a telephone and high speed internet. That is not possible in our subdivision and its not helping our home prices. Research shows that home value increases by an average of $5500 when fiber optic service is installed.
Who Gets It?
If Time Warner brings ground lines into our neighboorhood, both Woodcreek North and Wimberley Springs residents will have it available to them.
How Cheap Exactly?
Right now it’s not uncommon to pay $45-$65 a month just to get an very basic internet connection at 3Mbps.
On their website, the standard Time Warner cost for a 3Mps Internet connection is just $14.99 a month.
But if we had Time Warner right now you could get an 10Mbps Internet connection (three times as fast) for just $29.99.
Time Warner Also offers great deals like $49.99 per month – 20 Channels of TV, 50Mbps Unlimited Internet Access with HBO and ShowTime.
We can’t guarantee the prices when Time Warner gets here but they offer standard prices for everyone on their system.
What Do I Need To DO?
Time Warner needs to make a big investment to bring us high speed internet and phone services. They will NOT DO IT anytime soon unless they know they have enough customers to justify the outlay.
We need you to tell us if you plan to use Time Warner when they arrive!
It will likely be a LOT cheaper than any service you are using now.
We need your name and some indication of what services you would want. And we need your neighboor. And his neighboor. We need at least one thousand households in the Woodcreek North and Wimberley Springs area to sign this petition
