Local Company: Long Life Cardio
Distributor for the Max Pulse Medical Device. The Max Pulse is manufactured by a South Korean company Medicore which makes a group of devices all based on the same core technology. The Max Pulse measures arterial hardening using a 1 minute non invasive test that can quickly detect early stages of heart disease. The Max Pulse will also give an estimate of the patients autonomic nervous system balance, indicating if the patient is stressed. This uses HRV, or heart rate variability which is measuring the small differences between heartbeats and making sure the heart is beating in a relaxed and unstressed manner. Where a person is stressed as show by a poor HRV result, research has show that the patient is much more likely to die if they have a heart attack. Poor HRV is connected to higher fatality rates in patients. The Max Pulse is therefore able to estimate if a person has hardening of the arteries, how far progressed the arterial hardening is and also how likely the person is to die from a heart attack should one occur. For this reason it is an excellent screening to for doctors office and clinics to be able to detect heart disease before serious symptoms occur. The device also has a “baby brother” which is suitable for home use by individuals which is called a SmartPulse. This uses the same technology but in a stripped down format that lowers prices and make it more practical for personal use by patients.
