Attendees:
Chris Scudder, President, Dottie Sweeton, VP, Judy Fountain, Treasurer, DuAnne Redus, Secretary; Kemp Bromberg, Victoria Welsh, Emory Jones, Charles Crook, Matt Lowry
Call to order and Pledge of Alliegiance to Flag by President Scudder at 7:00 pm.
Sweeton motioned to approve proposed Agenda; seconded by Jones.
Passed. Minutes for September 16, 2015 Board Meeting motion to approve by Fountain, Jones seconded. Accepted as presented.
- President Report (Scudder) Described new landscaping projects have begun with lining around several medians. Looking forward to several beautification projects. Scudder also reported that Hays County will be paving some roads in section 8.
Action: Dottie Sweeton will file new By-Laws with Hays County.
- Discussion and possible action regarding homeowners who want to build their own home. The resulting action is that ACC must have a contractor in order to give a building permit. ACC will write policy that outlines the process.
- Discussion and possible action about time limit to keep old ballots. (Sweeton) After discussion, Redus motioned to keep ballots for one year after an election. Bromberg seconded. Motion passed with 1 abstention.
- Road Committee Report (Crook) Crook noted a downed stop sign on Matador. Action: stop sign will be replaced.
- Treasurer Report (Fountain) Reports presented and accepted.
- ACC Committee (Sweeton) Dottie reported 47 permits have been granted year-to-date. Discussion about several complaints that are being addressed.
- Parks (Jones) Emory reminded Board about upcoming shredding and mulching on Nov 9-11th. Deadline for reservation is Nov. 6th. He is hoping new playscape will be installed by January, 2016.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm for Executive Session. Reconvened meeting at 8:26 pm.
Action: Call for change of date for November Board in order to present Board nominations that will be announced at General meeting. BOD will meet on Wednesday, November 11th and forgo previously scheduled meeting on November 18th.
