                                Monthly Board Meeting

Attendees:

Scudder, Sweeton, Crook, Welsh, Redus, Bromberg, Ray, Jones, Lowry, Fountain

Meeting called to order by President Scudder at 7:02 pm. 

Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved with following changes:

• Move officer elections up after president report
• Add website discussions (Lowry)
• Add discussion about multi-lot exemptions from fees (Scudder)

Discussion and possible action to approve minutes from December 16, 2015.  Motion made to approve Minutes (Fountain, seconded Jones) Passed

1. President Report (Scudder) – comments regarding proposed 2016 budget. Motion to approve proposed budget for presentation to Homeowners (Sweeton, Jones) Passed.
   1. Officer Elections: Redus nominated Lowry for VP; Sweeton nominated Fountain for Treasurer; Scudder nominated Redus for Secretary; Kemp nominated Sweeton for President. Elected unanimously.
   2. New committee chairs: Scudder for Roads; Jones to head ACC & Parks
   3. Website discussion: Katresa Ray to work with Baumgarten regarding updates and maintenance of website.
   4. Discussion about multi-lot exemptions from WPOA fees – Scudder will present a proposed policy for review at next Board meeting (Feb)
   5. Discussion and possible action regarding crime in the neighborhood (Lowry) No action taken.  Scudder to investigate hiring ADT to monitor entrances.
   6.  Committee Reports
   7. Road Committee (Scudder) – Acacia in Section 8; Myers working on bridge on E Valley Spring. Will hire contractor to clean up trees that block right-of-way signage throughout the neighborhood.
   8. Treasurer Report (Fountain) – Updated info on 2015 finances
   9. ACC Report (Sweeton) – 4 new home permits, 2 fences, 1 garage
   10. Parks Report (Jones) – Reviewed activities planned for 2016 including dog park, skate park, additional parking at Morrow Park, etc.
   11. Newsletter (Redus) – 12 newsletters in 2015. Requested stories/comments from Board
   12. Executive Session:  Went into session at 8:33. ACC Complaints, General Business
   13.  Summary/actions from Executive Session: Out of session at 8:46.
2. Scudder motioned, Fountain seconded to find a new attorney to represent WPOA and relieve current attorney, Rick King. – Passed
3. Two homeowner Deed Restriction compliance issues to be passed to attorney for action. Both actions passed by acclamation.
4. Adjournment – Adjourned meeting at 8:47 pm.

Welcome new Board member, Katress Ray,  officers and Committee Chairs.  Charles Crook leaves Board with sighs and relief along with happy good-byes from all.
